Our Story

Our Story

Annie comes from a land down under - from Canberra, via Wagga Wagga, Queanbeyan and latterly Sydney. In 2019 she packed her bags and moved to the U.K. with dreams of working Monday to Friday and exploring Europe as a weekend warrior. After a stint in the Midlands, she landed in London just in time for lockdown, working on the front line in the NHS. She was set on heading back to Australia when the world re-opened… until one summer night at Hackney Brew Co, she was introduced to Andrew.

Andrew comes from the home of the brave - born in Falkirk, raised between the east and west coasts of Scotland, and later calling Bath home. London became his base after St Andrews (and the metropolis that is Crowthorne), and since 2018 he’s been in Islington. When not deep in SaaS chat, or talking about when he was YouTube famous, East London became his haunt - a place to feel somewhat trendy. It was there, after a Sunday evening service at St John’s Hackney, that he met Annie for the first time.

Safe to say, the rest is history. Together they’ve built a life in London filled with travel, running, sipping flatties, squeezing far too many activities into any given day, and exploring Down Under whenever they can. They share a love of adventure, of making the most of every moment, and of finding joy in both the big trips and the small everyday rituals. While they don’t know exactly where life will take them, they are certain of this: they’ll be journeying through it side by side - with a shared faith, plenty of laughter, and a love that keeps growing stronger.

They cannot wait to celebrate with their friends and family in Bath on 28th March 2026.

Plan Your Trip

We’re so excited to welcome you to Bath for our wedding celebrations. To make planning a little easier, here are some tips and recommendations for travel, accommodation, food and drink.

Getting to Bath from London

By Train: The fastest way is from London Paddington to Bath Spa. Trains run regularly and take about 1 hour 20 minutes.

By Coach: National Express coaches leave from London Victoria Coach Station to Bath, taking around 3 hours.

Getting to Priston / Farleigh

After the service at the church in Priston Village (around 15–20 minutes from the centre of Bath), there will be a coach to take guests on to Farleigh House (about 15 minutes from Priston). If you're driving from the church to Farleigh House, we recommend using the app What3Words for the exact location: hidden.arena.hype, as sometimes Google Maps can lead you astray. After the evening celebrations, the coach will return guests back into Bath (around 15–20 minutes). Seats must be reserved in advance.

Taxis & Local Transport

Local taxi companies in Bath include:

V Cars: 01225 464646

Abbey Taxis: 01225 444444

Uber also operates in Bath.

Please note there will likely be other weddings happening in the village of Priston that day, so we recommend booking taxis in advance.

Where to Stay

Bath has a wide range of options for Accomodation:

  • Hotel & Spa: The Gainsborough Bath Spa, Lucknam Park, The Royal Crescent Hotel (we’ll be staying here - if you’re looking to book, let us know and we can connect you with the team),

  • Boutique: The Yard, Eight Hotel, No.15 by GuestHouse.

  • Trusty Choices: Travelodge, Premier Inn, Hilton Bath City.

  • Other Options: Plenty of choices on Booking.com and Airbnb.

Children: We kindly ask that our wedding be an adult-only celebration, with the exception of babes in arms.

Explore the Area

If you’re travelling to celebrate with us, Bath and London both have plenty to explore - whether you’re here for a long weekend or just a short visit.

Bath & Surroundings

Food & Drink

  • Brunch & Lunch: The Walcot House (stylish brunch spot with cocktails if you’re feeling celebratory), The Green Bird Café (great for light lunches and homemade cakes), The Oven (award-winning Neapolitan pizza).

  • Dinner: Clayton’s Kitchen (modern European dining with a relaxed feel), Corkage (excellent wine list and small plates), The Circus Restaurant (classic Bath favourite).

  • Coffee: Chelsea Road Café (local gem), Colonna & Smalls (for serious coffee lovers), Colombian Coffee Co. (ethically sourced, delicious brews).

  • Drinks: The Raven (famous pies and local ales), The Salamander (a cosy pub in the heart of the city), Electric Bear Brew Co (craft beer taproom), The Boathouse (on the river, also with rooms if you want to stay).

Things To Do

  • Visit the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey - the city’s iconic landmarks.

  • Take a stroll along the Royal Crescent and The Circus for Georgian architecture at its best.

  • Relax at the Thermae Bath Spa with rooftop views across the city.

  • Wander along Pulteney Bridge and the weir - one of the most photographed spots in Bath.

  • For a countryside escape, explore Prior Park Landscape Garden or walk along the Bath Skyline trail with sweeping views.

  • Day trips: the villages of Lacock, Castle Combe, and Bradford-on-Avon are all nearby and well worth a visit.

London (Islington)

If you’re coming from overseas or staying on in London, here are a few of our favourite local spots around Islington, where we (use to) call home.

Food & Drink

  • Brunch & Lunch: De Beauvoir Deli (amazing pastries, coffee, and salads), Ottolenghi Islington (perfect for sharing plates and cakes), Pophams (croissants worth queuing for), Fig & Olive (our favourite spot for brunch!)

  • Dinner: The Marques Tavern (can't go wrong with their Burger and Pint), Primeur (modern European, small plates, buzzing atmosphere), Icco (little further afield in Marylebone, but Andrew's favourite pizza in London), Perilla (seasonal menus with a creative twist), Trullo (Italian done brilliantly), Hong Kong Restaurant (if you fancy an authentic delicious Chinese, head here on Upper Street).

  • Coffee: Selv (tiny coffee shop with outdoor seating at the entrance to Islington Square), High Ground (flat whites by day and wine by night, definitely check this spot out), Devotion (claimed to be Joe Jonas' favourite coffee shop in London - bottom of Cross Street. Also across from The Alpaca if you fancy a Guinness after...)

  • Drinks: The Scolt Head (our favourite De Beauvoir pub), The Compton Arms (tiny pub with legendary food), The Albion (tucked away in Barnsbury, great for a drink or a meal), Pig & Butcher (must try spot and great spot for a pint outside if you can grab a table)

Things To Do

  • Wander along Regent’s Canal from Angel through De Beauvoir to Broadway Market.

  • Browse the independent shops of Camden Passage (antiques, boutiques, and plenty of cafés).

  • Catch a film at Screen on the Green (one of London’s oldest cinemas) or recline at Odeon Luxe (Islington Square) or Vue at the Angel Centre.

  • Explore Upper Street for endless restaurants, bars, and little shops.

  • Hop on the Overground for an easy ride to Columbia Road Flower Market or Victoria Park on Sundays.

Richmond (Our New Home)

Since November, we’ve made Richmond our home, and we’re loving all it has to offer! Whether you’re visiting the area or staying nearby, here are a few of our favourite spots we’ve discovered in this beautiful part of London.

Food & Drink

  • Brunch & Lunch: Peggy Green (a charming floating café offering brunch with a view of the river), Via Romana Deli (authentic Italian deli, perfect for fresh sandwiches, pasta, and delicious bites), The White Cross (a classic pub right by the river, perfect for a relaxed lunch or drink)

  • Dinner: No 1 Duke Street (our go-to for a delicious dinner, with a great atmosphere), The Petersham (incredible seasonal British dishes with a stunning riverside view), Scott’s Richmond (sophisticated seafood dining with a relaxed atmosphere - perfect for a special evening out)

  • The Orange Tree (pub dining done right, great for a casual dinner or Sunday roast)

  • The Glasshouse (Michelin-starred dining in Richmond – perfect for a special night out)

  • Coffee: Kiss the Hippo (great for a relaxing coffee and light bites), Long Black Coffee (perfect for speciality coffee and a cosy atmosphere)
